Strategy
A venue-marketing campaign that turns Eugene Recreation's community centers into rentable event spaces people can actually picture. The problem was familiar: the rooms are great, but a line item on a web page doesn't book a wedding, a quinceañera, or a company offsite. The fix was to let renters see — and virtually walk — every space before they ever pick up the phone.
Audience
- Primary: people planning events — celebrations, meetings, classes, community gatherings — looking for an affordable, flexible venue.
- Secondary: community organizations and small businesses that need rentable space.
- Tertiary: residents who don't realize the City's community centers are available to rent.
Goals
- Raise awareness that Recreation's community centers are rentable, versatile spaces.
- Let prospective renters explore each facility remotely to shorten the path to an inquiry.
- Show the range of what each space can hold, from small classes to full celebrations.
Touchpoints
Capture spanned every rentable facility: wide establishing shots of each space and its amenities, real events where they'd happened, and a full 360° scan of all eight venues. It all lives in one interactive tour, built to answer a renter's questions before they ever call:
- Jump points to move between all eight venues from one link.
- Hotspots that open room details, dimensions, and photos.
- Info spots with links to booking pages, pricing, and availability.
- Furnished and unfurnished views of key rooms, so renters can picture their own setup.
Rollout
A venue trailer anchors the campaign, supported by facility photo sets and a single interactive 360° tour that houses all eight venues — openable from a listing page or QR code. Clickable jump points, hotspots, and furnished-and-unfurnished room views do the high-intent work of moving a prospect from curious to inquiry, distributed across City channels, rental listing pages, and in-person promotion.
Yield
Giving renters a self-guided walk-through of each space makes the facilities feel accessible and bookable, and moves remote prospects from interest to inquiry without a site visit. The tours and trailer keep working as evergreen sales tools long after launch.
What I'd do next
- Add booking-intent tracking: QR codes, UTMs, and a "which space are you interested in?" inquiry field.
- Cut a short highlight reel per facility for targeted social.
- Refresh event photography each season to keep the spaces feeling current.
